Release 2.43.0

New Features and Updates:

CMS – Site Manager – “Update My Listings” for CA Clients

We have introduced a new Update My Listings tab within the Site Manager, allowing Canadian clients to edit listings associated with their Agent ID, as well as any additional listings added through the Agent Info section. This gives agents more control over how their listings appear on each website, without affecting the duplicate listing on other sites or accounts.

  1. New “Update My Listings” Tab
    • Accessible in Site Manager for CA clients.
    • Displays all listings tied to the agent’s Agent ID, plus any manually added listings.

  2. Per-Website Editing
    • All changes apply only to the specific website where updates are made.
    • The duplicate listing, displayed on another website (either from the same company or a different company), remains unchanged.

  3. Editable Fields
Agents can now override or enhance key listing details, including:
    • Description
    • Photos
    • Virtual tour URL
    • Embedded video (YouTube or Vimeo)
    • Inspection URL
    • Survey URL
    • Brochure URL
    • Floor plans
    • Open house dates
  • What Cannot Be Edited?
  • Listing status (for sale, sold, for rent, rented) remains locked and cannot be changed.
  • Any field left untouched will automatically retain the original feed data.|
  • Where the Updates Display
  • Property Details Page
  • Any widget displaying that listing (Featured Listings, Community Listings, etc.)

This feature provides agents with complete flexibility to enhance their listing content with additional media and custom information, ensuring that their marketing materials are accurate, up-to-date, and tailored to their needs. It also eliminates the need to rely on board feed updates for certain enhancements.

Value to Users

  • Improved control over listing presentation
  • Ability to enhance listings with videos, documents, and open house details
  • More professional and complete listing pages
  • No risk of unintentionally overwriting shared company data

CMS – Blog Posts – Publish Date Field and Scheduled Publishing

A new Publish Date field has been added to the Blog editing section in the Site Manager, allowing users to control when a blog post becomes visible on the website and ensuring that visitors can see how current each post is.

  1. Publish Date Field
    • A calendar picker now appears above the “SEO keywords” field when editing a blog post.
    • It defaults to the original creation date.
    • Users can change the date to any past or future date.
    • If a future date is selected, the blog post will remain under the Hidden tab until that date.
    • Once the publishing date is reached, the post will automatically move to ‘Published’, unless it is saved as a draft.

  2. Scheduled Publishing Behaviour Explained
    • An info icon with a tooltip has been added to clarify how publish date logic works for both past and future dates.

  3. Removal of Old Scheduling UI
    • The previous “Schedule post” dropdown and arrow indicator have been removed, as they were not functioning, and are now entirely replaced by the new Publish Date field.

  4. Blog Post Date on Live Website
    • Blog posts on the website will now display their publishing date directly on the page.
    • This was a frequent client request, as leads could not tell how recent or relevant the content was.

Why This Improvement Matters

  • Provides greater control and flexibility when publishing content.
  • Allows clients to prepare posts ahead of time without manually publishing on the target date.
  • Improves transparency for website visitors by displaying the date a post was published.
  • Removes outdated scheduling UI and replaces it with a more intuitive system.

CMS – Featured Listings V2 – Agent ID Override Settings

A new customization option has been added to the Featured Listings widget, allowing users to display listings for specific agents by overriding the default Agent IDs pulled from the Agent Info section. This update supports teams and brokerages that manage multiple agent profile pages, allowing each agent’s page to highlight only their own active listings.

  1. New Setting: “Show listings only for specific agents.”
    • A new checkbox is now available inside the Featured Listings widget settings.
    • When enabled, users can manually select one or more agents whose listings should appear in that widget.
    • Listings will be filtered by the Agent IDs provided, ensuring that only those listings appear—even if the website has multiple agents or global settings configured.

  2. Use-Case: Multi-Agent Teams and Brokerages
    • Larger organizations often maintain individual “About Me” pages for each agent.
    • This improvement allows each agent’s page to display their own listings without affecting global listing settings across the site.

  3. Behaviour Notes
    • When this option is enabled, the widget will disregard the Agent IDs stored under Site Manager → Agent Info.
    • All other widget settings (sorting, number of listings, layout, etc.) will continue functioning as expected.
    • If no agents are selected while the option is enabled, the widget will display an empty result until selections are made.

This improvement was driven by production requests from teams and brokerages who needed more granular control when building agent-specific pages. It eliminates the need for custom development and streamlines the process of showcasing individual agents’ active listings.

CMS – Websites – Mobile View: Adjusted Menu Bar UI

CMS – Websites – Mobile View: Adjusted Menu Bar UI

We have updated the mobile layout of AgentLocator websites to improve navigation stability, user experience, and visual consistency. With this improvement, both the top and bottom navigation elements remain fixed in place, ensuring easier browsing for leads and eliminating previous UI glitches.

What’s changed:

  • The top navigation bar, containing the menu icon, website logo, and back button, is now fixed at the top of the screen at all times.
  • The bottom navigation bar, containing the Liked, Saved, and Recently Viewed icons, is now fixed at the bottom of the screen.
  • The mobile navigation experience is smoother, more responsive, and no longer affected by the previous “glitchy” behaviour reported by clients.

Value:

  • Provides a cleaner and more intuitive user experience for leads browsing on mobile.
  • Reduces confusion and improves accessibility by keeping key navigation elements visible at all times.
  • Addresses and resolves recurring client-reported issues related to inconsistent or unstable mobile menus.

This update is part of our ongoing effort to improve mobile usability, responsiveness, and modern UI standards across all AgentLocator websites.

CMS – Search Page – SEO-Friendly Search Links

We have improved the URL structure for search pages to make them more SEO-friendly. When a user lands on a search results page, the URL will now display clean, readable search paths that are optimized for search engines. This SEO-friendly format will remain active as long as the visitor does not manually apply filters.

If the user begins adjusting search filters (such as price, beds, or property type), the URL will switch to a dynamic format to accurately reflect those custom selections.

What This Means

  • Improved SEO performance for search result pages.
  • Cleaner, more relevant URLs when users land on pre-built search pages.
  • Better indexing opportunities for client websites.
  • A smoother experience for visitors, with URLs that remain optimized until the user customizes the search.

Example

  • Landing on a search page:
    website.com/homes-for-sale-in-toronto
  • After applying manual filters:
The URL switches to a dynamic format to match the selected criteria.

This update was developed in response to client requests for improved SEO ranking and visibility. By allowing search pages to maintain SEO-friendly URLs, clients gain stronger indexing, better click-through rates, and more effective organic lead generation.

Site Manager – Updated Heading Tags for Featured Widgets

We have updated the HTML heading structure on new platform websites to improve SEO consistency. The “Featured Neighbourhoods” and “Featured Listings” widgets will now use <h2> tags instead of <h1> tags across all websites.

What Changed

  • The system previously applied <h1> tags to these widget titles.
  • Since an ideal SEO structure should include only one <h1> per page, these widgets often require manual adjustments to ensure compliance.
  • With this update, both widgets will automatically use <h2> tags, reducing the need for customization.

Why This Matters

  • Improved SEO structure and page hierarchy.
  • Reduced risk of multiple <h1> tags on a page, which can negatively impact search rankings.
  • Less manual work for clients and production teams when adjusting widget headings.

  • More consistent formatting across all new platform sites.

This improvement stems directly from client feedback and ensures that websites adhere to best SEO practices out of the box, with cleaner markup and enhanced flexibility for page-level content.
